<image:caption>This is a portrait of Fairlight, whom the the store on Christopher Street is named after... its my 10th portrait of a dog. I made a lot of progress working out how to depict the nose and what level of burnishing enables the charm to both sparkle and "read", especially from a distance. It is made of 14 karat gold,</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is from college when I was still working as a carpenter. I didn't like this person, he was not a kind boss. Again it is largely from memory, there was no way this guy would pose. I was fascinated by the prospect of rendering his enormous belly that his dirty tee-shirts rarely covered completely. I didn't photograph it at the time... this is the effect of exploding in the kiln and then sitting on my brother's shelf for a while. Luckily I made a mold of the wet clay, but I have yet to make a casting...</image:caption>
